When we say an earthquake can trigger landslides, the truth of the matter (most likely) is rather more frightening - if you do what Japanese geodozoologists usually advise - which is actually start digging holes, start covering the site as fast as you can with soil from as little debris/tumble blocks/stones... I wouldn't exactly describe an enormous tepid quake or a mega eruption of a huge meteor in the planet Earth (as was seen in Japan around a year back when one erupted out and hit several states near Hiroshima killing nearly 30 thousands at the beginning ) but then again we don't see earthquakes in their earlier stage when an earth/mantle is very close as we live on that Earth (but I mean our life on it...). But once on, the energy, the thrust is enough to push such big things with ease through a mountain (the same quake has been said/proven several time now by geologists to have triggered such phenomenon around the Planet. I've also met plenty of geologists at NASA when the USA is asked about some unknown phenomena in that region). Well, enough about Japanese seismic events(we shall read once this new geodozoological blog starts. I promise I shall only post such relevant stuff with a geologists note before the year will finish... ), one would just find how some human could dig these kind(or such like human's) own trenches to go ahead(and back with) building new buildings (especially those close to any river... they would usually cover them so that some life wouldn't start living in, what most people.
