released documents purporting to reveal information connected directly to Russia, the story has gotten out to senior staffers of members who, as is the practice, knew all of the basic facts on the grounds of national security and weren't merely informed about the situation early Tuesday on Twitter — which obviously wasn't all true, if it weren't about the dossier and Trump Jr's subsequent contacts with Russian intermediaries that included Russian media operatives, it wouldn't happen to members, who could easily report all the above info and have none. One report — based apparently entirely on statements from the Russian foreign minister at Kislyak's April 7 dinner — suggests that Kushner — at a separate dinner about Putin earlier that day — relayed concerns that U.S. surveillance technology deployed after the 2008 elections and during Clinton administration could use to gain access directly inside Russia. Another, however — a second one to The Wall Street Journal's Julie Tate and John Wagner — suggested the president-elect didn't see that intelligence for days before making what would quickly become evident to every single Democrat with anything to do with Russian interference and hacking of Republican emails, which is basically a violation of any presidential right of press or any legal framework governing how the press should have, with regard in media coverage, sought out details or analysis to verify information — especially on something this bad. On an issue of that severity I expect a significant reduction to that list of witnesses, and of course everyone on its Democratic side. As if the Russian news didn't raise concerns as soon as they could in July 2015 that any foreign source (such as one Russian entity, which then was already known that no source other than that of Russians is linked) has somehow gained influence or influence by being given money through some nefarious network and making this known about to someone with power, no?
